Award in Introduction to Critical Thinking and Innovation

Course Description

This course will challenge the learners to develop a critical thinking mind in order to help them develop the ability to think outside the box. Various reflective frameworks will be discussed, and practical examples will be examined in order to challenge norms and overcoming creative blocks on an individual and on a team level.

Innovation is key to develop creative solutions while critical thinking will help in the evaluation of ideas and provides a reflective approach throughout this process.

LO1: Identify the different reflective frameworks that can be used to enable critical reflection and thinking.
LO2: Apply critical thinking to overcome creative barriers for individuals, teams and organizations.
LO3: Use creative tools to overcome creative blocks and challenging existing approaches to workplace issues
LO4: Explain the importance of ideology in critical thinking
LO5: Develop the ability to motivate teams and encourage flexibility and creativity to help the team find practical solutions to workplace challenges

Minimum entry requirements for Programme

Secondary School Level of Education
Good working knowledge of English
