Course Description

This course is intended to equip the learners with knowledge on conflict and ways on how it can be managed. The intention of this course is to explore the different types of conflict that can occur and what can cause these conflicts to develop. The learner will be encouraged to explore real life scenarios both in his/her personal life and at his/her place of work and understand what may be done so that such conflict is avoided.

Real case scenarios will be discussed so as to assist and inform the learners on how to handle such situations when they occur.

 

Learning Outcomes of Programme

LO1: Identify the different types of conflicts and its causes
LO2: Analyse the legal Implications and consequences of conflicts in society
LO3: Manage a conflict situation
LO4: Examine different methods on how to avoid conflict

 

Minimum entry requirements for Programme

Secondary School Level of Education
Good working knowledge of English

 

Applicants who have attained the age of 23 years and do not possess the above requirements may apply under the maturity clause.

These applicants must demonstrate that they stand to benefit and show that they are able to follow the program.

  • In order for the Maturity Clause to be adopted, applicants need to prepare the following documents:
    • Most recent version of the CV (EuroPass format)
    • Most recent version of the JobsPlus Employment History
    • A Motivation Letter explaining why the applicant feels that s/he should be positively considered
    • Scans of certificates of exams, courses, training etc the applicant would have successfully completed to date.

It is to be noted that a Proficiency Instrument will be administered prior to vetting eligibility for Maturity Clause
