Course Description
The programme addresses the skill requirements needed for tutoring within a wind band club. The programme is made up of 6 unit-blocks, each tackling a different aspect or skill, including pedagogical skills, instrument-specific tutoring approaches, as well as an insight to teaching solfeggio and musical theory in a modern classroom. Additionally, the programme also includes a technology-oriented unit which can support tutors to build a more efficient and modern approach to their students. The programme also takes into consideration the invaluable work done within band clubs, through a placement unit. Lastly, the programme provides research and entrepreneurial skills that will help the trainer be creative and adaptable to the times and requirements needed through the years.

Entry Requirements
A music award at MQF Level 4 or more
OR
10 years experience of performing within local wind bands.
Prospective candidates may be called for an interview or audition.
