This course is aimed at LSEs currently employed as LSE I and wish to progress to LSE II.
The course builds on the previously established foundation to offer a wider perspective of the practice of inclusive education. The course introduces the learner to identify how to adapt learning to make it more accessible. The learner is also introduced to skills and attitudes which enable the practitioner to offer support that adheres to latest strategies and policies. Throughout the learner experiences different ways to address different requirements. A main component of this course is the practice placement that enables the learner to put into practice the achieved skills and innovative strategies for a more inclusive environment.
Programme Learning Outcomes
At the end of the programme the learner will be able to:
1. Identify strategies thpt meet different learning requirements of learners.
2. Adapt the learning environment to include all learners.
3. Evaluate how to meet learning needs of learners to promote inclusive education.
4. Compare and contrast different resources and their use within the inclusive setting.
Entry Requirements
Official Jobsplus History of Employment attesting applicant is currently employed ns a Learning Support Educator. (Persons who are changing jobs or in possession of a clear job-offer/commitment may submit respective documentation in hand for evaluation)
Certificate of the Award in Inclusive Education (K/A the 10-week course) or equivalent.
