Unit description
The main objective of this unit is to equip learners with the necessary skills to repair faults
on domestic appliances. Learners will be introduced to various domestic appliances and
schematic diagrams. They shall also be exposed to practical hand on training on different
types of appliances.
Moreover, learners will be provided with a basic understanding of components, circuits and
systems used in domestic electrical appliances. The unit provides relevant practical activity
in the form of testing, fault finding and repair.

LO 2. Describe components and various motors used for domestic appliances.
LO 3. Select and use equipment safely to install and service domestic appliances.
