Course Description
Building upon the foundational skills acquired in Unit 1, this unit delves into advanced video editing techniques and storytelling strategies. Learners will explore creative editing techniques like montage editing, parallel editing, and match cuts, and learn how to use these techniques to enhance the narrative impact of their videos. The unit also covers advanced color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects, as well as the importance of understanding target audiences and tailoring content accordingly. By the end of this unit, learners will be able to create visually stunning and emotionally engaging video projects.
LO1 Explain creative editing techniques.
LO2 Apply a variety of timeline tools and creative editing techniques towards a rough cut that showcases a basic understanding of visual storytelling.
LO3: Utilize timeline and colour grading tools towards a well-paced final cut.
LO4: Employ audio editing techniques to effectively complement video editing
Prerequisites: Award in Video Editing I OR MQF Level 3 equivalent course in Video Editing
