N.B. Kindly note that applicants will be requested to register for their attendance on Classter. Failure to achieve the full enrolment will entitle the lecturer to exclude student from classes and no certification can be issued. A minimum attendance of 70% is required for certification attainment.

This is a 21 Hour course spread over‚ 7 Days
During this course students will become familiar with the following:
Marine Engineering and safe operation for vessels up to 500KW
Applicant must be 18 years of age, have at least 6 months appropriate sea service on vessels of not less than 75KW and be in possession of a General Purpose Hand Certificate. Applicant may only apply for this course after being in possession of a Transport Malta Notice of Eligibility to attend the course and final examination
To be issued with the Engine Driver Grade 3 licence from Transport Malta, applicants should have completed the following courses:
Subject to the completion of the additional requirements, licence will be issued by Transport Malta
Oral and Practical Assessment at the end of the course
Course notes are included in course fee
On completion of the course qualified candidates can serve as Engine Driver on a commercial vessel of less than 500KW, operating within ports, internal and territorial waters of Malta
