This is a 31.5 Hour course spread over 5 Days

- Handling Survival Craft and Rescue Boats in rough water
- Actions when aboard Survival Craft
- Hypothermia
- First Aid in Survival Craft
- Launching and recovering Lifeboats (practical)
- Launching Liferafts by Davit (practical)
- Launching Liferafts (practical)
- Liferaft drills (practical)
- Helicopter Rescue Operations
- Radio Equipment and Distress Signals
- Man Overboard Drills (practical)
- Launching and Recovering Rescue Boats
Applicants should be at least 18 years of age and must be medically and physically fit. Candidates must know how to swim unaided and be in possession of a valid STCW Personal Survival Techniques Certificates and approved seagoing service (both locally and foreign).
Subject to the completion of the additional requirements, licence will be issued by Transport Malta
Practical and Oral assessment at the end of the course
