Course Description
The learners in this course will be able to understand one’s emotions and use them in positive ways to relieve stress. This short course will give the basics of what Emotional Intelligence is and helps develop the ability to understand, use, manage and control one’s own emotions in a positive way to help relieve daily stress, communicate more effectively and assist in overcoming challenges while empathizing with others.

LO1: Recognise own emotions and use them in positive ways to relieve stress
LO2: Examine different ways of communicating effectively, empathizing with others, overcoming challenges, and defusing conflict whilst managing and controlling own emotions
LO3: Analyse different methods of how to manage stress
LO4: Develop the ability to stay calm when handling difficult situations

Secondary School Level of Education
Good working knowledge of English

Applicants who have attained the age of 23 years may apply under the maturity clause. These applicants must demonstrate that they stand to benefit and show that they are able to follow the programme through an interview held for the purpose.
