Description

Course Description

Through this course student will be working on still life, detailed drawings, figurative drawing and landscapes. Different media such as: ink, charcoal and chalk, pencil, soft pastels, acrylics/ oils and water color will be explained and put into practice throughout the duration of this course.

Assessments

These may be either Home-Based Assignments or Time-Constrained Assessments, on both an Individual Basis, as well as on a Group-Level Basis according to the Units being assessed, and may also include evaluation of hands-on practice.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Apply drawing and painting techniques in different media through a versatile approach
  2. Display a broad range of skills acquired through experimentation, risk-taking and creativity
  3. Explore still life while focusing on detail, light and value
  4. Evaluate practical issues in art and design

Pre-Requisites:

Certification in Award in Intermediate Drawing and Painting.

Students not in possession of a certificate in Award in Intermediate Drawing and Painting will be requested to present a portfolio.
