Course information

This course is intended to certify personnel by the Maltese Authorities to handle refrigeration gases at the place of work. The main aim is to cover the minimum requirements for the Category 1 certification referred to in the Official Journal of the European Union L301/133 in relation to stationary refrigeration air conditioning and heat pump equipment with fluorinated greenhouse gases. The theoretical and practical demonstrations in this programme are intended to remind practitioners of the approved ‘good practices’ that conform to the above mentioned legislation when working with refrigerants

This is a twenty four hour course, with 20 guided learning hours, 1 hour theoretical exam and three hours of practical assessments. This course is approved by MCCAA. License will be issued by MCCAA.
