Course Description
This course is a basic entry welding course for anyone interested in welding as a hobby, or may be considering welding as career opportunity. This course will prepare the student for more advanced courses and techniques in this sector therefore
This is primarily a practical course and students will acquire basic skills level in welding disciplines.
This is a 36 hour course. Lessons are held as indicated on the prospectus and website.
Study units consists of:
1. Down hand Bead Runs
2. Down hand Fillet Welds. & Three Run Fillet Welds.
3. Vertical-up Fillet Welds.
4. Overhead Fillet Welds.
Note: All the above is based on Mastery Skills using rutile electrodes only.
Introduction to T.I.G. Welding:
1.CO2 Welding (4 Hrs) includes Maintenance And Trouble Shooting
2.Oxy-Acetylene Cutting
3.How to use a Grinder in a Safe Manner
Applicants should be at least 16 years of age & and needs to have motivation towards the trade.
