As per LN 295 of 2012, all workers in the construction industry need to have a skill card to show his competences in the sector

Student will learn about the roles, duties and responsibilities that such a worker need to acquire together with other more technical objectives related to this trade. They will get acquainted with the health & safety issues that they can encounter at the place of work together with more technical issue related to the various types of tiles available on the market and the various techniques used to lay these tiles.

The learning outcomes are based on the NOS for tile laying as issued by MFHEA which include:

• Apply the appropriate on-site Health & Safety practices
• Identify techniques and equipment used in tile laying and tile repair works
• Calculate areas and volumes of materials required for the task at hand.
• Identify the appropriate mixes according to the various sizes and types of tiles
