Job Description:
As the International Students Executive at the MCAST Gateway to Industry, you will play a crucial role in supporting international students in their journey at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for international students and guide them through their application process. You will be an advocate for international students across the college, and assist with queries related to their studies relocation process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the International Business Development Manager the applicant will be responsible for:
- Be the first point of contact for students who visit the international office and assist them with difficulties and/ or guide them to the right department as required.
- Manage all necessary administrative tasks such as updating data, issuing and updating student letters.
- Keep up to date with all regulations and requirements relating to Identita and Jobs Plus that directly impact international students.
- Assist students with registration and monitor attendance when required.
- Manage payments, refunds and exemption process for all International students in liaison with the finance office.
- Organise and coordinate student inductions, workshops and seminars as necessary.
- Execute any other tasks as allocated by the International Business Development Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A qualification minimum at MQF Level 5 is required.
- Holds a Maltese or EU work permit.
- Previous experience in working with students will be considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A genuine interest in helping students to thrive and facilitating their engagement in College life.
- Proficiency in using management information systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- An empathy with the needs of international students.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing policies and procedures.
