Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Events and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This role will be instrumental in organising impactful events and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to promote our courses and incentives for further learning. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of event management expertise, marketing insight, and design skills to effectively engage our target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events, including seminars, workshops, and networking sessions. Initiating and creating business opportunities through innovative event concepts, seminars and building and supporting relationships with potential clients to drive business growth.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Coordinate all aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor management, logistics, scheduling, and on-site coordination to ensure seamless execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with industry organisations, educational institutions, and relevant stakeholders to expand our reach and enhance our offerings.
  • Event Promotion: Drive attendance and participation in events through targeted promotional efforts, community outreach, and partnership collaborations.
  • Budget Management: Responsible for managing event budgets effectively, ensuring all expenditures are within allocated budgets while maximizing Return On Investment.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and events, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster positive relationships with current and prospective customers through effective communication, personalized interactions, and exceptional customer service.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event management and marketing, incorporating new ideas and strategies to enhance our initiatives continually.
  • Sales/Revenue Generating: Promote rental of facilities, manage bookings and oversee the up-keeping of facilities.
  • Liaise with different departments and be a team player.

Requirements:

  • A qualification minimum at MQF Level 5 with 3 years’ experience OR MQF Level 4 with 5-years’ experience in a related role is required.
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution, preferably in the education or professional development sector.
  • Portfolio or previous experience in Project Management would be considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, with hands-on experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling content and effectively engage diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mind-set and a commitment to driving measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Passion for education and lifelong learning, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on individuals’ personal and professional development.
  • Driving License B

Familiarity with using graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite would be considered an asset.
