Web Virtual Reality Bootcamp *

Course Rationale

The purpose of this bootcamp is to introduce learners how to use a clear HTML-like syntax

to create simple Virtual Reality experiences that can run in any web browser.

Learners only require a basic understanding of HTML to enroll in this bootcamp. There’s no

need for a VR gear because all the projects work as “non-VR” 3D web applications right out

of the box.

Virtual reality is a brand-new technology in general. The ambition to establish an open

ecosystem of VR experiences, dubbed the Metaverse, is driving the endeavor to bring VR to

the web.

Learners will be able to:

• • Understand the basic syntax
  • Transform the objects in a scene
  • Modify the virtual environment
  • Load and display 3D models
  • Use standard and semantic animation
  • Interact with the objects
  • Use locomotion and teleportation

Pre-Requisites

Basic understanding of HTML.
