Course Rationale

This is an introductory course provided by MCAST to help students familiarize themselves with Artificial Intelligence and how such emerging technologies work and are used in modern society.

Learners will be able to:

    • Apply AI concepts to solve real-world problems.
    • Analyse the differences between the various machine learning algorithms.
    • Design a simple AI Neural Network.
    • Analyse AI trends and its implications in society.

Although this is an introductory course and not geared towards technical engineers, upon completing the course, learners should be equipped with knowledge to understand how Artificial Intelligence works, what are the most common Machine Learning strategies, how AI can impact society, and how common real world problems are solved through AI.

Basic ICT literacy.
