Course Description
This course will take the form of a seminar whereby the participants will be updated with the developments related to the Refrigerant Handling.
In particular, the relevant updated standards will be reviewed together with a basic introduction to alternative refrigerants and their related potential hazards.
The course will include the participation of MCCAA and ERA to disseminate information regarding the documentation and developments in legislation.

Structure and Assessment
Course delivery may be On-Line or Face-to-Face – Applicants will be notified with the delivery method and schedule before the course starts.
There are not formal assessments, as the course is Attendance-Based.

Lecturing Schedule & Assessments
Part-Time Evenings Mondays and Thursdays are targeted, however MCAST reserves the right to design the schedule according to prevailing circumstances, logistics and exigencies, which may therefore include other days of the week and/or Saturday mornings.
Learning Outcomes
The participants will be able to:
1. Recognise the contents held within EN 378:2016 (Refrigerating Systems and Heat pumps – Safety and Environmental Requirements).
2. Identify the relative EU Directives and Legal Notices related to F-Gas Handling.
3. Compile data logs related to Refrigerant handling, Refrigerant Disposal (Waste Transfer Note) and Inspection Log Book.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be holders of valid F-Gas Licences issued by the MCCAA or any equivalent Licences issued within the European Union as recognised by the MCCAA.

Certification:
An MCAST Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all Participants who satisfy the Minimum Attendance Criteria above.
