Award for Concreter & Supervision

Note: MCAST does not issue any licences or skill cards related to handling and operating of certain machinery as used in the construction industry

Learning Outcomes        

• LO1 – identify the work that needs to be done
• LO2 – Identify hazards & risks at the workplace and assist in protecting any services already in place to mitigate against hazards and damage
• LO3 – Reading of drawings as issued by qualified persons
• LO4 – Checking the proper anchorage, safety, sturdiness and erection of any shuttering and their support
• LO5 – Ordering of concrete
• LO6 – Casting of concrete
• LO7 – Supervising workers on site

Entry Requirements.

Persons should have successfully completed MG2I-C0570 Award for Concreter

Or

Completed . MG2I-C0569 Award for Assistant Concreter And Employment History from Jobsplus And Letter of Reference proving a minimum of  1 year working experience in this field.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or over.

A health Certificate stating the applicant is fit and able to follow this course, issued by a General practitioner is required.

* Course Excludes hours of practical evaluation for assessment.
