Business Statistics

This course is designed for people who would like to gain more advanced skills in the interpretation of business data and statistics. It is a known fact that such interpretation of data is an ever-increasing necessity in enhancing performance and competitiveness within the world of business management. The main aim of the course is to enable participants to develop a knowledge and understanding of more advanced statistical techniques, as well as apply this knowledge and understanding in solving business problems.

At the end of the course, the course participants will be able to

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic and more advanced statistical techniques including the collection and presentation of data.
• Be in a position to apply the above knowledge and understanding in solving business problems.

Target Course Participants:

• Participants who have an up-to-date knowledge of basic arithmetical processes

• Participants who are already in employment and who want to attain more advanced skills in Data handling and Analysis

• Participants who wish to achieve employability skills within a business environment where statistics are one of the main means of achieving a better performance and enhancing competitiveness.                                                                                                                                    

This is 75 hour course. Lessons are held as indicated on the prospectus and website.

Access to the course is aimed mainly at

• Participants who already have a sound background of mathematical principles and are ready to adapt these principles to handle statistics.
• Participants who already have some hands-on experience in the world of business and commercial data collection and handling, since these will find it easier to comprehend the content delivered during sessions.

Participants are expected to have a good working knowledge of English.

An MCAST Certificate of Attendance will be issued to all students attending more than 80% of lectures.

The course includes an informal assessment that enables the Lecturer to provide feedback to the student.  However, if the student prefers not to undertake the assessment, a Certificate of Attendance will still be issued provided that the student fulfils the attendance criteria (as stated above).

There are no additional costs or special materials/equipment to bring. The course fee includes Course Tuition, Handouts, and Information Packs.
