The Driver CPC is compulsory for all those who earn an income from driving vehicles for the carriage of passengers and goods. In the case of vehicles used for the carriage of goods, this qualification is required only for drivers who drive vehicles with a gross vehicle weight greater than 3,500kg.
Drivers who obtained their driving licence in category C or C1 after the 10th of September 2009 are also required to pass an Initial Qualification in order to obtain the Driver CPC.
The course is 63 hours long. Tuition will be held at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, MCAST, Paola.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
A Certificate will be issued by Transport Malta.
There are no exams with MCAST. Exams will be done through Transport Malta.
Fee covers tuition given by MCAST. Students are encouraged to bring a pen and notepad for note-taking during the training.
