The course is aimed at showing to learners the proper technical tasting procedures and eventually create a base to become future panel qualified tasters. This course is one of a kind and can lead to future additional qualifications.
Course will be covering the below;
Learning Outcome 1; Associate fresh olive oil to health attributes
Learning Outcome 2; Identify and appreciate quality products.
Learning Outcome 3; Acquire tasting and organoleptic techniques and develop descriptive terminologies
Learning Outcome 4; Observe the interaction between technology and the environment in the production of olive oil
The following are the suggested pre-requisites and/or entry requirements needed:
An MCAST Certificate of Attendance will be issued to all students attending more than 80% of lectures.
There are no summative assessments in this course.
There are no additional costs or special materials/equipment to bring.
