Description
The programme of studies targets professionals working in the care economy, particularly social care systems, or those who wish to move into these fields. The demand for social care is set to rise significantly, and reinforcing its provision by means of trained professionals can contribute to better practices and partnerships with people using services, their families, carers and citizens.
The programme of studies builds on an already acquired professional understanding to further broaden and deepen this by means of specialised units. In fact, the units and values are cross-cutting and can be adapted to various social policy areas and practitioners working in the public service, private, voluntary and not-for-profit sectors. These include disability, long-term care, elderly, mental health, children, social housing, justice systems and migrants. This makes this programme ideal for more peer learning, collaboration and understanding of the different roles and responsibilities of social care professions. Together we shall aim for optimal social care in the community and work with people to live in their own homes and prevent residential care. However, if the latter is needed, the same value-driven practices shall be studied and applied.
Programme Learning Outcomes
At the end of the programme the students are able to;
Entry Requirements
