Award in Basic AutoCAD 2D

Course description

This course is to learn how AutoCAD can be used as a design tool by understanding the potential benefits of combining AutoCAD with other design programmes. By the end of this course, the learners will develop the basic skills necessary to amend and produce 2D drawings.

Learning Outcomes

1. Recognise and change the sofware’s User Interface (UI)
2. Outline the basic features of AutoCAD
3. Amend and alter 2D drawings
4. Create 2D drawings using AutoCAD basis and drawing aid tools

Minimum Entry Requirements

Basic knowledge of technical drawing and computer literacy.

When students receive their MCAST email account, they will be eligible for the student version of the AutoCAD software.
